Tampere can well accommodate meetings and congresses up to 3,000 delegates. Tampere Hall is the largest purpose-built congress and concert centre in Scandinavia. Since its inauguration in 1990 it has hosted hundreds of international and world congresses, for instance IUFRO, the world congress of International Union of Forest Organisation with 3,500 delegates in 1995, the World Congress of IUTOX, International Union of Toxicology with 2,400 delegates in 2004.

Tampere is also an excellent venue for corporate events. One of the most prestigious events in Tampere is the biannual Glass Performance Days, which gathers every other year over 1,000 leaders and decision makers of glass industry from the whole world to Tampere.
